For this residential villa in Al Hamra Village, the brief represented a delicate balance between high-end aesthetics and adaptive longevity. We moved beyond the standard renovation to engineer a space where world-class design meets intuitive functionality. This project was not merely a modernisation; it was a reimagining of two compact footprints into refined, contemporary retreats that quietly support long-term comfort and knee health without ever compromising the villa’s sophisticated visual language.

The Sculptural Step | Integration Over Addition
To address the physical requirements of entering a standard tub, we rejected the idea of a functional add-on. Instead, we engineered a custom, wide-tread bathtub step integrated directly into the room’s architecture. Grounded and beautifully finished, it serves as a deliberate design feature—a moment of architectural stability that enhances the room’s geometric balance while providing effortless accessibility.
Ergonomic Precision | The Invisible Bracket System
True luxury lies in the details that remain unseen. We installed adjustable-height toilets using a secure, behind-the-wall bracket system, allowing for bespoke tailoring of comfort while maintaining perfect visual proportions. Every technical adjustment was meticulously coordinated to ensure the fixtures feel perfectly scaled to the room, proving that ergonomic support can coexist with high-end silhouettes.
Zero-Threshold Flow | Expanding the Horizon
We eliminated traditional shower transitions to create a seamless environment underfoot. By removing the step-up, we allowed light and premium materials to travel uninterrupted across the floor plane. This zero-threshold transition not only promotes independence and safety but visually expands the compact footprint, creating an airy, gallery-like feel that defines the modern sanctuary.
